About Event

Entrepreneurship Isn’t Just a Business Journey It’s a Personal One

What does it really take to build a business? How does entrepreneurship impact your relationships, your family, your friendships, and your mental health?

Join the Indy Black Chamber of Commerce and the Martindale Brightwood CDC for a powerful and engaging Movie Night featuring Acrimony. This free community event is designed to spark honest conversations about the realities of entrepreneurship and the challenges that often happen behind the scenes.

While entrepreneurship can create opportunities for wealth, freedom, and legacy, it can also bring stress, uncertainty, sacrifice, and strain on the people closest to us. Through the lens of Acrimony, attendees will explore themes of perseverance, trust, support systems, communication, and the emotional toll that can accompany the pursuit of a dream.

Following the movie, participants will engage in a facilitated discussion led by a licensed mental health therapist. This conversation will provide a safe and welcoming space to share perspectives, discuss real-life entrepreneurial experiences, and learn strategies for navigating the personal and emotional aspects of business ownership.

Whether you are a current business owner, aspiring entrepreneur, supportive spouse, family member, or friend of an entrepreneur, this event offers an opportunity to connect, reflect, and learn from one another.

What to Expect:

  • Screening of Acrimony
  • Guided discussion facilitated by a mental health professional
  • Real conversations about entrepreneurship and relationships
  • Networking and community engagement
  • Free pizza and popcorn

Come relax, enjoy a movie, and participate in meaningful dialogue about the realities of entrepreneurship and the impact it has on those who walk the journey alongside us.
