Wealth building through business ownership

Wealth Building Through Business Ownership is IBCC’s premier 10-week business development cohort designed to embrace entrepreneurship by providing the foundation necessary to equip business owners for long term success. This cohort is geared for entrepreneurs who have been in business for at least 2 years and/or have generated over 25K in business revenue in the prior year. Classes meet in-person twice per week.

Participants will grow in industry knowledge as they learn from our industry professionals on topics such as: Financial Management, Bookkeeping, Insurance, Taxes, Trademark, Labor Laws, and much more. We invite several of our banking partners to facilitate and offer financial management tools to assist our participants as it relates to small business accounts, credit, loans, and financing. Upon completion of program, participants will receive a stipend to use towards the services of an industry professional from the cohort, have an opportunity to apply for a microloan up to $10K, receive a professional headshot, work with a business coach to complete a professional business plan, and receive ongoing networking opportunities and support as an IBCC member.

Our closeout Pitch Night Event provides a platform for our participants to showcase the knowledge obtained from the foundational elements of the cohort by pitching their business plans in front of a panel of judges who select 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners for monetary awards.
